The first step in this process is to reach out to us so we can take some time to understand your needs and wants in a puppy and to make sure our bloodline is what is best for you. This gives us a chance to understand what type of dog would be best for your home. Some breeding pairs might create a more compatible puppy for you than others. We will need to know what type of events you would like to do with your dog, working classes, lifestyle and intentions to breed/show or if you want a companion type dog.
After that interview, fill out our puppy application that can be found on the "puppy application" tab on this site.. If you are serious about this commitment, we can move forward with a kennel contract. Our contract will state if you'll receive limited or full AKC rights, gender preference, and your total cost. Health and temperament guarantees vary between litters but we will always guarantee you a healthy, vaccinated, dewormed, dewclaws removed, microchipped, tails docked and a clean bill of health from our vet. Ear cropping is additional and due no later than 6 weeks of age after you made your pick. Our guarantees are non-transferable and the puppy cannot be rehomed to any other owner. We ask that the dog comes back to us if you're unable to care or keep your dog at ANY age or situation. We do not tolerate abandonment to shelters, rescues or reselling your dog. We have a zero tolerance policy for breeding of a dog you did not purchase breeding rights to and will forfeit your dog back to us. If you purchase a puppy with full rights, we require one 1st pick puppy back and from the litter of our choice. You may be eligible for a discounted stud breeding from one of our males. All puppies sold with full rights will be under a co-ownership with me on their AKC paperwork until health testing results have been released, show/working titles have been earned, the dog has reached two years of age and I have received my puppy back.
We focus on proper type, structure, health, and temperament. We do not sale puppies based on color! Color is strictly cosmetic. We do produce all the colors, but we will NOT guarantee anyone that a certain color will be available. Choices for a companion or show prospect puppy should be based strictly on whether that puppy will be a good fit for that home.
Puppies are sold based off picks. This allows show and working qualities puppies to be chosen first to homes that have reserved this. 1st and 2nd picks are reserved for families looking for full rights to show and breed. The remaining picks are considered companion prospects and will be placed as that.
Clients on the waiting list will receive email updates confirming pregnancies, birth announcements, and weekly puppy updates. As the puppies grow, we make notes regarding development and personality of puppies. Clients who are required to respond to update emails/calls/text at the 2-week point in order to confirm they are interested in the said litter. Nonresponsive clients will be placed to the next litter.
At 4-6 weeks of age, we will release temperament evaluations and conformation stack photos. 1st picks will make their decision first, then 2nd and so forth. If you purchased "last pick" you will receive the remaining puppy of your gender preference. If you have a family with kids, looking to show or looking to raise a working dog, we recommend taking a pick where you'll have enough puppies to chose from rather than receiving whoever is last.
If you're on the waiting list and a dam ends up not getting pregnant, or there are not enough puppies to fulfil your reservation, your deposit will be transferred to the next available litter. Prices, guarantees and colors may vary between litters. Deposits are non-refundable but may transfer to any litter.
After you have made your pick around 5-6 weeks of age, your puppy would be available to go home between ages 8-10 weeks. If you purchased ear cropping, that will be completed around 7 weeks of age. We do not offer delivery out of state from us. You can fly out to Scottsbluff, Nebraska and fly back with your puppy on your lap, drive here yourself or a transport company will be recommended. Transport will be your responsibility, liability and at your cost.
AKC registration paperwork will be provided at pick up. "MnC's" is required in the registration name and prior to the name you give your puppy (example: MnC's Schwifty Morty). We ask that you fill this out at pick up and bring a check to AKC in the amount of $37.99 (generational pedigree, insurance and puppy packs are extra from AKC). Fill this out with us and we will mail it into AKC for you or we can fill it out online together. If you do not have a name ready, we ask that you have your puppy registered no later than 30 days after pick up or a name will be assigned.
To fully complete a reservation, the contract and deposit are to be delivered and until then, your pick is not secured.
Puppies will be sold with limited AKC registration which will state no breeding or showing rights.
If you are approved for full rights, this will include breeding and showing rights. If full rights are purchased, you MUST health test hips, elbows and Embark DNA genetic test at a MINIMUM. Dogs are not allowed to be bred before age two. This is to ensure we are preserving the breed approved dogs, and passing on the healthy genetics we have worked so hard on. We will hold you to being a reputable and ethical breeder. We will give priority to owners who will show or work their dogs prior to breeding.
Males sold on full rights are allowed to be bred back to MnC females at $0 stud fees and one 1st pick puppy back from MnC's choice of litter.
Females sold on full rights are expected to give MnC one 1st pick puppy back of MnC's litter choice.
